Ahead of Earth Day, eco-friendly deals abound at Sears

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — In honor of Earth Day, Sears Holdings is currently offering several discounts and product promotions designed to help customers improve their environmental performance. These include up to 25% off all Energy Star qualified appliances at Sears plus up to 25% off all dryers plus extra 5% off all appliances with your Sears card through April 19.

Customers can also visit one of 190 Kmart stores (as of April 1) and take advantage of Sears Holdings small electronics trade-in program. The program allows customers to bring in their old electronics such as cell phones, tablets, laptops and netbooks, and digital/video cameras and obtain a Kmart gift card (that can be used instantly in the store) for the value of the product.

Automotive customers can take advantage of green savings when they recycle their old batteries. If a customer brings in an old automotive, lawn and garden, marine or power sport battery to be recycled through any Sears Auto Center nationwide they receive a $5 Sears award card.

Finally, with the reusable bag and e-receipt sweepstakes program (at Sears and Kmart stores), SHOP YOUR WAY REWARDS(SM) Members who present a reusable bag for their purchases and/or who opt for an emailed eReceipt will be entered into a drawing to reward their environmentally–friendly choices.  Each month, three winners will be selected with one winner receiving a $400 Sears gift card and the other two winners receiving $50 Sears gift cards.  The promotion runs through March 31, 2013.
