New chef named to Macy's Culinary Council
NEW YORK -- Marc Forgione is the latest chef to join Macy's Culinary Council, the company announced. According to Macy's, the council is "a team of talented and distinguished chefs who serve to inspire the way Macy's customers shop, cook and eat at home.
Forgione, who was recently crowned season three winner of Food Network's TheNext Iron Chef, will kick-off his new position on Macy's Culinary Council with an in-store cooking demonstration at Macy's Chicago on State Street on March 8 at noon.
Macy's Culinary Council launched in 2003 and consists of notaable chefs who host cooking demonstrations in Macy's stores and offer their culinary tips and expertise to cooking enthusiasts nationwide through marketing, in-store displays and online content.
"It's truly an honor and privilege to join the exclusive ranks of a
council that includes such celebrated men and women in the cooking
industry," said Marc Forgione, executive chef and restaurateur." The
last few months have been a whirlwind, but I look forward to this new
and exciting opportunity to help inspire Macy's customers in doing one
of the things I enjoy best, cooking at home."
