ShopSavvy revamps QR Code reader
SAN FRANCISCO — Mobile shopping platform ShopSavvy has launched a revamped version of its QR Code Reader and Scanner application to give mobile-device users access to even more information about products and retailers an additional avenue to leverage a powerful technology.
The update of the iOS application means users can scan a QR code to obtain URLs, contact information, calendar events and other data stored within the Quick Response codes. It also allows individuals as well as businesses to generate their own QR codes for display on signage, business cards, advertisements and other various vehicles for generating awareness.

That’s why it’s so important for ShopSavvy to provide this superior, multidimensional QR code experience to empower shoppers as well as businesses,” said Rylan Barnes, co-founder and chief technology officer of ShopSavvy. “We look forward to bring these innovations to ShopSavvy itself very soon.”

• Sharing, saving and printing of QR codes
