WEST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. — Five Shaw’s Supermarkets in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont, have reached a major environmental milestone in the company’s “zero waste” program by diverting over 90% of all store waste from local landfills.

In November 2010, the stores were generating an average of 745 lbs. of waste each day per store.
MINNEAPOLIS — Best Buy may be dealing with all of the negative attention surrounding the resignation of Brian Dunn, but "the show must go on," as they say, and the search has begun for a new CEO. The company has announced the members of its CEO search committee. The company said the committee will oversee a global search process to identify internal and external candidates, including current interim CEO Mike Mikan.
Saks Inc. will expand its distribution and fulfillment capacity, adding a new facility in Tennessee in 2012.
While many retailers are scrambling to attract last minute Christmas shoppers, some, including Target, are already looking ahead to Dec. 26.
