Users are able to browse and preview images on their walls using the iPad's built-in camera, and then purchase the images as framed prints, canvas prints or greeting cards. The free app is the only one to combine photo and artwork sharing with e-commerce and a 3D-like “view on your wall” feature, according to app developer Pixels.com.

ShopSavvy, the world’s largest mobile shopping platform, said its AdOns advertising network was enhanced to support iBeacon integration allowing greater personalization. Apple’s iBeacon technology uses Bluetooth and location-based services to ping nearby smart phones with advertisements, coupons, or messages. The technology is available on both the Apple, and Android operating system.

Shoppers still love Apple products, as evidenced by record unit sales for the iPhone and iPad.

Shoppers still love Apple products, as evidenced by record unit sales for the iPhone and iPad.
Apple sales increased 5.7% to $57.6 billion from $54.5 billion during the company’s first quarter ended December 28 thanks to record sales of its flagship products.

The company sold a record 51 million iPhones compared to 47.8 million last year and iPad sales increased to 26 million units from 22.9 million last year. The biggest percentage gain came from the Mac business where units sold increased to 4.8 million from 4.1 million.

The move comes just a couple of weeks following the retailer’s preliminary third-quarter results which revealed poor performance in the consumer electronics and wireless categories and were below the company’s expectations.
