CINCINNATI, Ohio — Kimberly-Clark has completed the migration of its North American Vendor Managed Inventory program to the Datalliance VMI platform, on which it will manage its consumer brands for 15 retail partners.

CINCINNATI — Tide will get in on the 2013 NFL Draft action by offering an endorsement deal to the first player drafted to each of the 32 NFL teams, in celebration of their new colors. 

Tide will also reward fans with a gift delivered via Twitter by each of the contracted rookies during the first and second rounds of the draft. The rookies will also ask the fans to share what team colors mean to them by tweeting out using hashtag #AboutOurColors.

CINCINNATI — A major initiative unveiled by Kroger could have the retailer’s suppliers scrambling to ensure palm oil used in products the retailer carries are obtained from sources who meet strict harvesting guidelines.

Kroger issued the following policy statement:

Palm oil has become the world's leading oil crop and today accounts for roughly one-third of the global vegetable oil production. This oil has grown in popularity within the food industry as a cooking oil, shortening, margarine, milk-fat replacer, and as a cocoa-butter substitute.

CINCINNATI — Macy’s announced that it will expand its online order fulfillment center in Goodyear, Ariz., to accommodate continued sales growth as part of the company’s omnichannel strategy. The company is expected to invest more than $35 million in capital in the project.

CINCINNATI -- Kroger reported a better-than-expected profit for its fourth quarter profit amid a surge in sales.

For the period ending Feb. 2, Kroger earned $461.5 million, compared with the year ago period when the company reported a loss of $306.9 million as pension costs dragged down results.

Revenue rose 12.8% to $24.2 billion. Same-store sales increased 3% for the quarter, excluding fuel. After adjusting for the extra week in the fourth quarter, total sales increased by 3.7% over the fourth quarter of fiscal 2011.

CINCINNATI — Kroger on Tuesday promoted Robert Clark as group VP non-perishables.

"Robert brings impactful leadership and extensive merchandising experience to our team," stated Michael Donnelly, Kroger's SVP merchandising. "His valuable knowledge of our customers across the country will further strengthen our strategic direction."

As group VP, Clark will be responsible for grocery, health and beauty, adult beverage, general merchandise and pharmacy.

CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble posted a boost in sales and earnings for the second quarter and raised its outlook for the fiscal year, the company announced on Friday.

CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble will launch a new line of products to help women counteract age-related changes in the density and diameter of their hair.

Through the end of December, Target stores nationwide will highlight the new Pantene AgeDefy line, and will also feature new Olay Professional anti-aging products, including Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Eye Cream and Lash Serum Duo offering and Olay Total Effect CC Cream.

CINCINNATI and WAYNE, N.J. — Macy’s and Toys"R"Us -- likely the two retailers most associated with Christmas -- have joined together for a unique retail partnership.

CINCINNATI — KSS Retail, a division of Dunnhumby, announced that Bi-Lo Holding, the Jacksonville, Fla.-based parent company of Bi-Lo and Winn-Dixie grocery stores, has extended its business relationship with KSS Retail to include price modeling and optimization services for the Winn-Dixie banner.
