As part of the C&A project in Germany, Checkpoint is providing RF/RFID antennas, point of sale RFID solution, software and consulting services.

Bayer HealthCare said it plans to acquire rapidly growing Schiff Nutrition International for $34 a share in a transaction valued at $1.2 billion.

Bayer HealthCare said it plans to acquire rapidly growing Schiff Nutrition International for $34 a share in a transaction valued at $1.2 billion.

The deal, described as a "bolt-on acquisition" by Bayer, is expected to close by year end. Salt Lake City-based Schiff is a 75-year-old-company known for brands such as MegaRed, Move Free and Airborne.

Graham previously served as president and general manager of Beiersdorf. His new role includes leadership of both the United States and Canadian business units.
 
Graham was promoted to the position of general manager of Beiersdorf in August 2011, after joining the company as VP sales in 2007.

Amazon.com said Thursday it is buying Lovefilm, a European movie rental service akin to Netflix, according to a report by the Associated Press.

NEW YORK -- Amazon.com said Thursday it is buying Lovefilm, a European movie rental service akin to Netflix, according to a report by the Associated Press.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Lovefilm operates in the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Much like Netflix, it is a subscription-based service through which people can rent movies by mail or watch them on TV or any other device with a high-speed Internet connection. The company also offers TV shows and games.
