Japanese apparel retailer Fast Retailing remains deliberate in its approach to growth of its Uniqlo brand in the U.S. with plans for five more stores by mid-year.

Japanese apparel retailer Fast Retailing remains deliberate in its approach to growth of its Uniqlo brand in the U.S. with plans for five more stores by mid-year.

There are currently 1,300 Uniqlo locations worldwide in 13 countries, but only 17 stores in the U.S. The five new stores the company is adding this spring and summer will be located in King of Prussia, Pa., Stamford, Conn., and Daly City, Concord, and Milpitas, Calif. The company’s other existing stores are clustered in the Northeast with and northern California.

The Valley Forge Shopping Center on West DeKalb Pike is adding Target to its tenant roster July 2014, making it the first Target store in the city of King of Prussia.

The Valley Forge Shopping Center on West DeKalb Pike is adding Target to its tenant roster July 2014, making it the first Target store in the city of King of Prussia. 

The King of Prussia store will be approximately 165,000 sq. ft. and will include a selection of fresh produce, fresh packaged meat and pre-packaged baked goods, as well as a Starbucks, Target Optical and Target Pharmacy.

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. — GSI Commerce, an eBay Inc. company, said it has extended its contract with PetSmart to support the retailer’s omnichannel strategy with webstore, fulfillment and customer service solutions. GSI has worked with PetSmart since 2007, and this contract will extend the relationship for three years.

The acquisition, which will be financed with cash and debt, is expected to close in the third quarter of 2011.
