BENTON HARBOR, Mich. — KitchenAid is partnering with Abt Electronics in Glenview, Ill. to kick off Earth Week and encourage the responsible disposal of unwanted small electric kitchen appliances. From April 18 through May 16, Abt customers will receive an instant rebate toward the purchase of a new KitchenAid small appliance when they bring in any brand of small electric kitchen appliances to the store.

Lifetime Brands, maker of houseware and kitchen products under such brand names as Kitchenaid, Farberware and Cuisineart, reported that consolidated net sales for the fourth quarter were $154.8 million, an increase of 12.5%, as compared with consolidated net sales of $137.6 million in the fourth quarter of 2011.

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — Lifetime Brands, maker of houseware and kitchen products under such brand names as Kitchenaid, Farberware and Cuisineart, reported that consolidated net sales for the fourth quarter were $154.8 million, an increase of 12.5%, as compared with consolidated net sales of $137.6 million in the fourth quarter of 2011.

Net income was $15.2 million, or $1.19 per diluted share, in the 2012 period, as compared with $5.4 million, or 43 cents per diluted share, in the prior-year period.

CHICAGO — KitchenAid has announced plans to introduce the first line of non-licensed cookware, bakeware and kettles in its nearly 100-year history. KitchenAid had previously offered these products through a licensing arrangement.

"These newest KitchenAid products look, feel and perform like those that built our reputation as a brand," said Michael Huie, global business unit director for KitchenAid.
