Lululemon Athletica, manufacturer of yoga-inspired athletic apparel has announced that its chief product officer, Sheree Waterson, will be leaving the company effective April 15.

“We appreciate the many contributions that Sheree made during her time with lululemon, particularly in the area of design,” said Lululemon’s CEO Christine Day.

Waterson joined Lululemon in 2008 and has more than 25 years of consumer and retail industry experience.

NEW YORK — A major renovation may be underway at Lululemon’s flagship store in Manhattan, but the fast growing retailer isn’t missing a beat.

The Vancouver, B.C.-based operator of 201 stores has set up a temporary store at 1142 Third Ave., across from its flagship location to satisfy the New Yorkers’ needs while the four-month renovation is underway.

Executives at Amazon, Kohl’s, Crocs and lululemon have been named recipients of the National Retail Federation’s annual awards.

WASHINGTON — Executives at Amazon, Kohl’s, Crocs and lululemon have been named recipients of the National Retail Federation’s annual awards.

Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos received the Gold Medal Award, for serving the industry with distinction and achieving a national reputation for excellence. Recipients of this award have displayed creative genius and inspirational leadership and won the respect of fellow merchants for their devotion to the retail craft, according to NRF.
