PALO ALTO, Calif. — Terapeak has launched an e-commerce market analytics solution designed to provide visibility into the Amazon marketplace giving online retailers access to Amazon market data as well as their own sales data.

The solutions tool features product, offer and sales rank searches in more than 35 Amazon categories; average, minimum and maximum pricing data; competitor research and analysis; and the ability to view historical Amazon transactions.

Sony Electronics is expanding its retail footprint by opening three newly remodeled Sony Stores and several brand new Sony Gallery experiences. The company also unveiled a smaller-store format called Sony Gallery.

SAN DIEGO — Sony Electronics is expanding its retail footprint by opening three newly remodeled Sony Stores and several brand new Sony Gallery experiences. The company also unveiled a smaller-store format called Sony Gallery.

Following the debut of the redesigned Sony Store in the Simon Mall Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto, Calif., Sony announced it will open three new concept stores located in Miami, San Diego, and Orlando, Fla. The remodels will bring the total of U.S. redesigned stores to eight.

Revel Touch, a technology provider in the mobile commerce space, has named Joe Davis as CEO.

PALO ALTO, Calif. — Revel Touch, a technology provider in the mobile commerce space, has named Joe Davis as CEO. 

Davis previously served as president and CEO of Coremetrics (acquired by IBM) and held executive roles at Nortel, PeopleSoft and IBM. As CEO of Revel Touch, he will be responsible for driving the company’s accelerating growth.

PALO ALTO, Calif. — Shopkick, a shopping application that rewards shoppers for walking into stores and interacting with products, has teamed up with CVS/pharmacy to roll out a first-ever offering of walk-in and other rewards at a retail pharmacy, Shopkick announced on Tuesday.

The program kicks off with a special offer, kicking $5 back to shoppers who visit participating CVS/pharmacy locations with the Shopkick app.

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Personalization of the in-store customer experience will be a key objective for retailers over the next two years, according to two new Aberdeen Group reports sponsored by HP.

According to the 100 senior retail executives surveyed from industries such as apparel, grocery and department stores, 76% do not possess the technology tools or the business processes for executing web, catalog or special orders from stores. This challenge is being fueled by rising consumer expectations of rich, multimedia in-store shopping experiences.
