Daggett's background includes 18 years at QVC Inc., one of the world's largest e-commerce retailers. In her most recent role, as president of QVC U.S. Commerce, she was responsible for merchandising, planning, broadcasting and new business development.

HSN Inc. reported that net sales for the third quarter increased 5% to $537.4 million, including 10% growth in digital sales.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — HSN Inc. reported that net sales for the third quarter increased 5% to $537.4 million, including 10% growth in digital sales. Cornerstone's net sales increased 13% to $241.4 million, including 22% growth in digital sales.

Adjusted EPS increased 32% to 66 cents compared with 50 cents in the prior year. GAAP diluted EPS from continuing operations decreased 26% to 31 cents compared with 42 cents in the prior year.

HSN Inc. reported that total sales for the company grew 6% to $767.2 million for the second quarter.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — HSN Inc. reported that total sales for the company grew 6% to $767.2 million for the second quarter. Sales at the company's HSN segment increased 4% to $501.9 million, including 8% growth in digital sales. Cornerstone's net sales increased 11% to $265.3 million, including 17% growth in digital sales.

Adjusted EPS increased 10% to 67 cents compared with 61 cents in the prior year. GAAP income from continuing operations per diluted share increased 13% to 61 cents compared with 54 cents in the prior year.

QVC has announced the promotion of Steve Hofmann to CEO of QVC Europe, reporting to QVC president and CEO, Mike George.

WEST CHESTER, Pa. — QVC has announced the promotion of Steve Hofmann to CEO of QVC Europe, reporting to QVC president and CEO, Mike George.

In the newly created position, Hofmann will oversee QVC's European markets, including the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy, and accelerate growth opportunities throughout Europe. He maintains his current responsibility as CEO of QVC Italy and will continue to be based in Milan.

Multichannel shopping retailer HSN Inc. reported Wednesday that net income for the quarter ended March 31 climbed 29% to $26.2 million, from $20.3 million in the year-ago period.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Multichannel shopping retailer HSN Inc. reported Wednesday that net income for the quarter ended March 31 climbed 29% to $26.2 million, from $20.3 million in the year-ago period.

Results were boosted by robust sales from its Cornerstone unit, which includes banners such as Ballard Design, Frontgate and TravelSmith.

Revenue overall rose 5% to $747.3 million. Cornerstone saw an 11% sales rise to $205.4 million. HSN segment sales were up 3% to $541.9 million.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Liberty Interactive, parent company of QVC, reported revenue growth for the fourth quarter and full year thanks favorable results at QVC and its e-commerce division. 

Liberty Interactive's revenue increased 7% to $3.1 billion in the fourth quarter and 8% to $9.6 billion for the year.

"QVC finished the year strong with impressive Q4 results, particularly in the United States and Japan, despite a challenging macroeconomic environment," stated Greg Maffei, Liberty Interactive president and CEO.

Dillman, who has more than 20 years of experience leading IT teams, most recently served as SVP global IT at HP. Previously, she was EVP and CIO at Wal-Mart Stores, where she was instrumental in transforming the supply chain management model for Walmart, according to a QVC press release.

HSN is bringing Quick Response (QR) codes to a new shopping frontier by becoming the first retailer to use them on television.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — HSN is bringing Quick Response (QR) codes to a new shopping frontier by becoming the first retailer to use them on television.

Through Oct. 10 as part of the company's Innovation Weekend event, HSN will debut QR codes on its HD channel, which currently reaches approximately 43 million households. Customers will be able to scan the QR code of hundreds of products, the company said, giving them access the product information page on their mobile device, learn more about the product and purchase with ease.
