E. & J. Gallo Winery and the Campbell Soup Company have won the 2013 CPG Awards for Innovation and Creativity.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — E. & J. Gallo Winery and the Campbell Soup Company have won the 2013 CPG Awards for Innovation and Creativity.

The Grocery Manufacturers Association and its Associate Member Council give the award annually to companies they determine have demonstrated creativity and innovation and have made a significant impact on the industry knowledge base.

Campbell Soup Company has named Denise Morrison president and CEO, effective Aug. 1, the first day of Campbell’s next fiscal year.

CAMDEN, N.J. — Campbell Soup Company has named Denise Morrison president and CEO, effective Aug. 1, the first day of Campbell’s next fiscal year. In October 2010, Morrison was named EVP and COO and elected a director of the company in anticipation of her appointment to the role of CEO at the beginning of fiscal 2012.

Morrison will succeed Douglas Conant, who will step down as president and CEO on July 31, 2011, after more than a decade in that role. Conant also will step down from Campbell’s board of directors at that time.

A former Walmart VP has joined Campbell Soup as its VP corporate development.

CAMDEN, N.J. — A former Walmart VP has joined Campbell Soup as its VP corporate development.

In this new role, Raymond Liguori will be responsible for Campbell's efforts in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and joint ventures. He will report to Craig Owens, Campbell's CFO and chief administrative officer.
