ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — HSN has named two key executives to its corporate leadership team. Bill Brand, formerly EVP programming, marketing and business Development at HSN, was promoted to chief marketing and business development officer for HSNi, and Andy Sheldon, formerly EVP of TV, live events and creative at HSN, was named chief creative officer for HSNi, and General Manager of HSN Productions.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — HSNi Inc. reported that its fourth quarter net sales grew 7% over the prior year to $982.9 million. HSN's net sales increased 7% to $683.8 million, including 11% growth in digital sales. Cornerstone's net sales for the 13-week period in 2012 increased 6% to $299.1 million, including 14% growth in digital sales, compared to the 14-week period in 2011.

GAAP diluted EPS from continuing operations increased 27% to $1 compared with 79 cents in the prior year.

HSN is bringing Quick Response (QR) codes to a new shopping frontier by becoming the first retailer to use them on television.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — HSN is bringing Quick Response (QR) codes to a new shopping frontier by becoming the first retailer to use them on television.

Through Oct. 10 as part of the company's Innovation Weekend event, HSN will debut QR codes on its HD channel, which currently reaches approximately 43 million households. Customers will be able to scan the QR code of hundreds of products, the company said, giving them access the product information page on their mobile device, learn more about the product and purchase with ease.

HSN announced that Arthur Lewis has been appointed SVP merchandising, digital commerce, effective June 27.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — HSN announced that Arthur Lewis has been appointed SVP merchandising, digital commerce, effective June 27.  Lewis will report directly to Jill Braff, EVP digital commerce for HSN.

Lewis will oversee HSN's cross-channel merchandising strategy on hsn.com, mobile and tablet platforms.  He will also leverage his extensive digital background to grow all brands and categories of business, including online product exclusives and category expansions, the company reported.

Franchitti will pilot the number 10 Kellogg’s Honda Dallara for TCGR in round four of the Izod IndyCar Series in Brazil at the Itaipava Sao Paulo Indy 300 presented by Nestle on May 1 and in round 14 at the Baltimore Grand Prix on Sept. 4.

The race through the streets of downtown St. Petersburg, Fl, consisted of 100 laps over a 1.8 mile, 14 turn course, and the distinctive red and white Target car was featured extensively during television coverage. In her new position, Braff will oversee HSN's existing e-commerce, mobile and social media platforms. In addition, she will manage the development and implementation of new multi-platform initiatives. HSN's e-commerce, digital marketing, merchandising and advanced services teams will report to Braff.
