Destination XL Group has named Peter H. Stratton Jr. as SVP, CFO and treasurer, effective June 1. Stratton replaces John E. Kyees, who was serving as interim CFO, and will report to president and CEO David Levin.

Destination XL Group has named Peter H. Stratton Jr. as SVP, CFO and treasurer, effective June 1. Stratton replaces John E. Kyees, who was serving as interim CFO, and will report to president and CEO David Levin.

Stratton has been serving as the company’s SVP of finance, corporate controller and chief accounting officer since Sept. 2009. He joined the company in June of the same year as VP of finance.

Destination XL Group was disappointed with its performance in the fourth quarter and said contributing factors were sluggish retail environment, a short holiday selling season and adverse weather conditions.

Destination XL Group was disappointed with its performance in the fourth quarter and said contributing factors were sluggish retail environment, a short holiday selling season and adverse weather conditions.

The company reported a net loss of $55.1 million for the quarter, compared to net income of $4.2 million in the year-ago period.

Fourth quarter net sales declined nearly 6% to $108.5 million, from $114.9 million in the prior-year period. However, same-store sales rose 13.6%.

Casual Male Retail Group, a specialty retailer of big and tall men's apparel and accessories, is changing its corporate name to Destination XL Group Inc. to reflect the company's transition to its Destination XL (DXL) retail stores and DestinationXL.com e-commerce website.

CANTON, Mass. — Casual Male Retail Group, a specialty retailer of big and tall men's apparel and accessories, is changing its corporate name to Destination XL Group Inc. to reflect the company's transition to its Destination XL (DXL) retail stores and DestinationXL.com e-commerce website.

As previously announced, the company's ticker symbol was changed to "DXLG" effective Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012.  The name change will be effective as of Monday, Feb. 25, 2013.
